Thank you for your time this week and for listening so supportively to what I had to say about military civil rights. I have drafted a Memorial to be filed in advance of the 2025 Session for your consideration. It is my understanding that the filing deadline is this Friday, which is why I wanted to get this to you ASAP;

As I hope I mentioned, I am working with Senator Ron Wyden's office on the same issue, and having a Joint/Memorial coming from Oregon may complement the work they are doing. I will send another email shortly with their staff CCed, as well as Merkley's office, which has been slightly slower to respond, and supportive House members (Reps Tran, Hieb) as well in the event we can make this a Joint Memorial.
