Last night I spoke with Leo Shane, a reporter with the Military Times, with whom I’ve had a handful of interactions since falling into the #GIJustice rabbit hole, including [here at the American Enterprise Institute](https://www.c-span.org/video/?c5042160/user-clip-aei-mike-levin&ref=gijustice.com) with Representatives Mike Levin and Brad Wenstrup.

I called him up as soon as I realized that the information I uncovered about [Vice President Harris](https://gijustice.com/blog/ag-harris-ignored-civil-rights) had the potential to sway the election since it would be of interest to 23 million soldiers, veterans, and Dependents. Here is our conversation;

This morning I followed up on the story. The Military Times turned it down;

It’s splitting hairs whether Harris *actively ignored* or *passively failed* *to uphold her duty* as the AG of California. The bottom line is that Military Times’ decision to pas on the story means **military voters will be deprived of the ability to make an informed decision in a general election**. That’s not democracy.
