On January 27, 2025, I made a second visit to the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) to ask about their Public Information Officer, Mike Penner, and statements on the record.
Logan M Isaac: [00:00:00] Hi. I was just in asking for the PIO. I was given the name Mike Penner, and I called him. I'm really under a crunch for time, but it seems as though the police bureau was the first to introduce something that might end in a defamation lawsuit. Is their PIO available?

PPB Reception: That would be the best way to get ahold of them. I don't have any more direct contact information for them.
Logan M Isaac: Is there any, uh... At the conclusion of an investigation, do-
PPB Reception: I wouldn't be able to speak on anything. It has to go through the PIO's office. Is it- I don't have the authority to make any statements or speak on any...
Logan M Isaac: Yeah, no, I'm not asking for a statement. I'm just trying to figure out when material might or might not become public record. Are you aware if it does?
PPB Reception: That would be a question for the records department. Okay. We can- They handle anything of public record, anything, any records. Um, if you want, I can also give you the phone number for them so you can [00:01:00] speak to them and see if it's public information.
Logan M Isaac: Is that in the court or is that here?
PPB Reception: That's here. We have the record, the police records department.
Logan M Isaac: Oh, okay. Sure
PPB Reception: Okay, so ... Uh, the phone number I wrote on there is more up to date phone number. It'll just save you some time for them.

PPB Reception: So give that to them.
Logan M Isaac: Okay.
