OSU has received your correspondence. Because you have indicated that you will be seeking legal representation, I am unable to discuss this matter with you further. Please have your attorney contact me directly.

Mx. Walcott,

That's not exactly true; no Rule of Civil Procedure or the ORPC bars an attorney for a public body from speaking to an unrepresented citizen and state resident. You should know better than me, so feel free to correct me if you have a legal citation you can share.

If your public body client has *instructed* you to refrain from communicating with aggrieved community members simply because they informed OSU they intend to exercise their basic civil rights, that will be duly noted and made a matter of public record.

If you simply don't *want* to talk to me, I ask that you be precise in your language as a legal professional. It's the least a member of the public can expect, that public servants are fully aware of, and exercise in accordance with, their formal, (tax payer-funded) professional legal obligations.
