I am a pro se litigant that like-

Logan Martin Isaac: It's not a perspective. You keep using that language
Chelsea Wein: ... is productive, and I don't feel like I need to continue to-

Chelsea Wein: Um, at this point, I'm going to file a motion to dismiss, and there's really nothing else to discuss from my perspective.
Logan Martin Isaac: Chelsea, I'm recording this phone call-
Chelsea Wein: I appreciate your perspective. You're obviously thinking about your billable hours ...
Logan Martin Isaac: because you accused me of raising my voice. I'm recording this phone call because you accused me of re-raising my voice, and you're not treating me with the respect that is demanded by the court and [00:01:00] opposing counsel.
You have not made a good faith effort to confer with me. You're just telling me what you're going to do, and li-litigation by fiat is not a constitutional privilege. I'm very sorry. So if you want to file something that you've already been informed there's a good reason for, I'm going to put that in writing, and the court will also see that as well.
I'm not going to be bullied. I'm not going to be accused falsely of, of yelling or trying to assert privilege and power that I don't have. I am a citizen of the United States, nothing more. You have a paying job that is paid for by my tax dollars, and you're complaining that your job is hard. Instead of improving on your job, you want shit to roll downhill to me.
I'm not willing to accept that. If you don't want your job, if you don't want your job, go find some other work
Chelsea Wein: Frankly, Logan, I haven't been complaining about my job. I'm just informing you that I am doing my job. I am writing the motion which will be filed.
Logan Martin Isaac: That's not what conferral is.
Chelsea Wein: I will provide you with a date for the filing. And because you filed a lawsuit, it doesn't... Really, it's– I can't... I can talk to [00:02:00] you about what we're planning on filing. I can try to discuss it with you. I have done so, but I cannot litigate this issue on the phone with you because you filed a complaint, and therefore, I need to go through the litigation process to respond to that complaint, which is what I'm working on doing.
Logan Martin Isaac: I-- And you've ignored the actual substantive, logical, rational points I've brought up. Litigation by phone is another word for conferral. I've now told you precisely why I use a pseudonym. I told you that I am part of a protected class that your agency has failed to protect, which would reasonably allow someone to try and protect their identity.
So if you take this to the court, I'm going to file a response that says exactly this, and I will recite this phone call verbatim because I've, as I've already informed you, I'm recording it. I'm tired of being accused falsely by government agents trying to make their own jobs easier while taking freedoms from Americans.
So you know why I use a pseudonym. You know that I printed, because I told you, I printed from my own [00:03:00] Proton address. I don't want my [redacted] to appear in the public record. So I can inform the court of that, or you can refer to paragraph 3 of the complaint, which I'm not sure you have, which will make you look kind of foolish if you file a motion that contravenes something that's already in an ECF.
But that is your-- That-- You can do that. You can make your own job harder by failing to do your job well. That's your r- that is your freedom, which you and I defend by our federal service. But the fact that you don't like having this conversation with me is not grounds to say that you can't confer.
Conferral is exactly what we're doing. It's hard. It sucks. I don't want to be here. But as, as you'll see in your own FOIA, [The DOJ] haven't been protecting me even though the law has existed since 2009. But file what you will. If you want to keep everything by email, that's fine. N-notice the court, and I'll respond thereto.
