πŸ“§ "Notice of receipt of your Correspondence" from OSU

OSU has received your correspondence. Because you have indicated that you will be seeking legal representation, I am unable to discuss this matter with you further. Please have your attorney contact me directly.

Mx. Walcott,

That's not exactly true; no Rule of Civil Procedure or the ORPC bars an attorney for a public body from speaking to an unrepresented citizen and state resident. You should know better than me, so feel free to correct me if you have a legal citation you can share.

If your public body client has instructed you to refrain from communicating with aggrieved community members simply because they informed OSU they intend to exercise their basic civil rights, that will be duly noted and made a matter of public record.

If you simply don't want to talk to me, I ask that you be precise in your language as a legal professional. It's the least a member of the public can expect, that public servants are fully aware of, and exercise in accordance with, their formal, (tax payer-funded) professional legal obligations.
