📧 “DOL Withholding Data”
Full Subject: “DOL Withholding Data on Veteran Employment Discrimination Complaints”
Hi Lauren (Katzenberg) and David (Philipps),
I wanted to put something on your radar, in the hopes that NY Times might be able to report it out. In a nutshell, the DoL is underreporting the scope of employment discrimination complaints by protected veterans, which means harassment, bias, and discrimination against veterans is a much bigger problem than anybody realizes.
The below email exchange also shows that members of the House Committee on Education and Labor knew of this before DoL published their 2019 VETS report. DoL is basically being given a free pass to continue to underreport the full scope of employment discrimination against veterans because HCEL is seemingly doing nothing to intervene.
I'm one of 700+ veterans who filed a complaint since 2004, let me know if I can help. I have notes, recordings, FOIA dumps, and plenty of other evidence and material that may be of interest.

Thanks for this. If we look into it I'll be in touch.
