It’s time for a new MIA
Before the SCLC, Martin Luther King and Ralph Abernathy formed the Montgomery Improvement Association to improve conditions in the military town adjacent to Maxwell Air Force Base. Although military families were instrumental to the movement King inherited, they have been excluded from the rights for which they fought.
It’s time for a new organization, a new MIA, to finally bring civil rights to military families.
