The Montgomery Improvement Association was formed to improve conditions in the city adjacent to Maxwell Air Force Base. Although military families were instrumental to the movement, they have been left out of the rights for which they fought.
It’s time for another organization, a Military Improvement Association, to bring civil rights to soldiers and veterans.
