Sen Manning: 🟦Blue 🦅Falcon?
He promised MIA 15 minutes, so where is it?
On Wednesday September 25, 2024, James Manning of the Oregon Legislative Assembly, who Chairs the Senate Committee on Veterans, offered the Military Improvement Association 15 minutes to present on military civil rights.
Here he is, in his own words;
As “informational meetings,” these blocks of time are for presentations on past and future legislation, like the proposed Memorial and Military Civil Rights Act. Last night, I noticed the Committee Agenda had been uploaded to their webpage, with the Military Improvement Association, well… MIA.
Did Manning simply forget his promise? I emailed him on November 18th asking for details, but he did not reply. I followed up with a staffer on the 22nd but I never got a reply.
If Manning didn’t forget, then he must have decided military improvement wasn’t worth his committee’s time, which is weird because Manning is an enlisted veteran like me, although he outranked me significantly. So maybe he just has something against lower enlisted personnel…?
I dunno what the story is, but I also know that he isn’t the only senior vet fucking over junior Enslisteds. Gee, I sure wish we were all equal after service, but it doesn’t seem like Senator James Manning feels that way. When one grunt fµ¢ks their buddy, we call them a Blue Falcon (because Bravo Foxtrot doesn’t really convey the message).
