📧 “Please remove my unpaid writing”
Addressed January 7, 2025 at 0800 to Sojourners Editor in Chief, Senior Editor, and Opinion Editor.
I am writing to ask that all unpaid writing of mine be removed from the sojo.net website. By my count there are at least [30] blog entries, starting September 2007 and spanning to April 2011. Another page that will need to be amended is the 2012 "Nine Years of War in Iraq: A Sojourners Retrospective," which mentions my work four times.
Although I can't find my records, I do remember being paid to write "Wrestling with Demons," which appeared in the February 2011 issue. But I don't recall being compensated for "The Right to Refuse to Bear Arms" (December 2010) or "The State and the Union" (June 2009). Please forward records of compensation if you want to keep them on the website.
I am not comfortable being publicly associated with Sojourners. Thank you for understanding.
