Dear Mr. Isaac,
Greetings from the Church Center!
The Presiding Bishop does not have jurisdiction over the event in question; you may want to direct your request to the organizers of the RADVO conference. This email address from their website may be the best place to send the message: info@radvoco.org.
In the meantime, I have copied on this message the Rt. Rev. Todd Ousley, Bishop for Pastoral Development, to address the concerns outlined in this message.
Your brother in Christ,
Christopher Sikkema

Thank you for your response.
It is my understanding that Bishop Michael has jurisdiction insofar as he presides over the apostolic succession that extends from him to Sam Rodman of the NC Diocese and to Hauerwas’ priest, Rev. Clarke French.
Bishop Michael confirmed me into the PECUSA in April 2013 at St Matthews in Hillsborough, NC. He invited me to contact him re veterans in the church, given the epidemic of suicide in and after military service. Hauerwas has taught a generation of Christian soldiers and veterans to hate themselves, and he claims to be a communicant at an Episcopal church. This is as much about reconciliation regarding people Bishop Michael has had direct contact with as it is about asking any and every ecclesiastical authority to intervene and disrupt Hauerwas’ harmful rhetoric toward the veteran community, 90% of which identifies as Christian.
I have already sent the same letter to the conference organizers, the venue, and the local diocese. I also plan to contact the Archbishop, who is expected to be in attendance, and Tom Wright, a former bishop as well as former professor of mine.
I look forward to hearing from Bishop Todd.
