Hey Esau, I've been listening to your interview on The Bible Project! It was really inspiring to hear about how Reading While Black came to be, and I am going to borrow and cite your "motivated reading" concept. It gave me the language to understand how I've been so drawn to the military people and concepts in the Bible, so thanks for your work! 

I also wanted to follow up about God is a Grunt, not for an endorsement but to ask about the Disrupters podcast. I know you're not hosting this season, but I figured you could tell me if it is IVP's in-house project to highlight their own authors or if it is more expansive - it wasn't really clear to me by reading the website and podcast pages... My editors are interested in podcasts for the early marketing plan and I thought of Disrupters as a podcast that feels like a fit at first glance. Can you point me in the right direction to reach out to its people? 

Finally, I wanted to offer you and Mandy a digital review copy of the book. I have no idea what her military experience has been like, or whether she's even still in, but I wanted to make sure you all had it in the event either of you was interested in a martial hermeneutic.
