I was a LEAD Protege for Cohort 3, now living in Oregon where a couple things are happening that I wanted you to have a heads up about. The first is an amendment to existing civil rights laws for military families that Sen Ron Wyden is working with me to introduce, and the second is a state level military civil rights act that will be the first in the nation to make military families a protected class and make sure they get the rights their sacrifices secure. 

I'm forwarding an email with a few links for more info, but I wanted to reach out because word on the street is that the west coast is a bellwether for Dems, and if OR passes an MCRA then other states are likely to follow.
