Attached are IRS Form 13909 and a PDF with an email chain detailing suspicious activity by America Press, Inc. editors that leads me to believe I was used to unlawfully benefit one political campaign over another.

After publishing an article of mine that criticized the Republican campaign Vice Presidential Nominee, Robert Sullivan of America Press, Inc. rejected an article criticizing the Democratic Presidential Nominee. Less than two weeks [later], Sullivan called the Republican nominee "unfit to lead the nation."

Please see my form for greater detail, thank you for looking into this matter.

Complaint text

Editors at America Magazine paid $250 for an article openly critical of the Republican Vice Presidential Candidate which was published 08/21/2024. As the General Election grew near, however, they used shifting explanations and a double standard to reject a piece critical of the Democratic Presidential Candidate on 10/21/2024.

America Press, Inc. did not have to communicate with either campaign to violate the absolute prohibition on direct or indirect participation in activities benefiting political campaigns. By protecting one campaign over the other, it is reasonable to infer the $250 expense constitutes a benefit to the Democratic Party. It therefor meets the "reasonable belief" standard to conclude that the decision to kill a story critical of the party's nominee constitutes an additional $250 benefit to the Democratic Party, for a total benefit of $500.

If the Democratic campaign was aware of without disclosing the $500 benefit, that may constitute an illegal campaign finance violation as well.
