This is an audio of my May 7, 2025, phone call with OSU Police.

Transcript

OSU Officer: [00:00:00] this is Officer Beaton with OSU Police. I'm trying to get in touch with Logan.

Logan M. Isaac: Oh, okay.

OSU Officer: Is this Logan that I'm speaking with?

Logan M. Isaac: Yeah. Where, how'd you get this number?

OSU Officer: Oh, I just looked you up in our police data systems.

Logan M. Isaac: Okay.

OSU Officer: So I am following up with an interaction you had here on campus. It looks like the other individual's name was William. Does that sound familiar at all to you?

Logan M. Isaac: William. My dad's name is William, but he's not at OSU.

OSU Officer: Oh no, this is a William Elfering.

Logan M. Isaac: Oh, how do you pronounce it?

OSU Officer: I'm probably mispronouncing that Elfering is the way Elfering.

Logan M. Isaac: Oh, I never thought about that.

Yeah, he's the veteran center director. What about him? Yeah. Yeah.

OSU Officer: So there was just, conversation he had with my boss. And basically final result of that interaction was that they are requesting that I issue you a official letter of trespass from Oregon State University.

Logan M. Isaac: If you do that, I will cite everybody involved under federal law Title 42 section 1985. I have Willie [00:01:00] on I have recorded audio. What's his complaint?

OSU Officer: All I'm really doing man, is issuing you the letter. You have options on the back that are listed for if you,

Logan M. Isaac: officer Beaton was your name.

OSU Officer: That is correct. My badge number is 9 5

Logan M. Isaac: 0 9 5 0.

OSU Officer: Yes.

Logan M. Isaac: Are you familiar with Title 42, section 1983 and 1985?

OSU Officer: I would need to refresh myself on the exact verbiage of that, but I know that.

Logan M. Isaac: Okay. But do you need to write it down or do you just want me to help you understand what it is? Because you will be cited under it and I will go after you out in court. I'll tell you why. Why you're operating under the color of law by threatening to trespass me from a public space. If you do that, you will be in violation of that section. It's also known as the KKK Enforcement Act. Are you a member of the KKK?

OSU Officer: Look, I'm just needing to issue this letter. What you do from there is totally up to you.

Logan M. Isaac: Officer Beaton, you are operating under color of law. Are you a member of the KKK?

OSU Officer: I just need to issue [00:02:00] this letter. No, I'm not a member of that.

Logan M. Isaac: Okay. If you are operating under color of law, you are in violation of Title 42, section 1983, and I will take you to small claims court if I have to. What does Willie think happened?

OSU Officer: You have the right to do that.

Logan M. Isaac: I, what does Willie think happened?

OSU Officer: I can provide you with a police report number and you can read all the details in that. All I need to do right now is just have you let me know the best way for me to get this letter to you. You can either come here or I can come to you. It's up to you.

Logan M. Isaac: You said I was in a database. What is that database?

OSU Officer: It's called T-L-O-T-L-I dunno what that stands.

Logan M. Isaac: You do not know what that stands for.

OSU Officer: Nope.

Logan M. Isaac: But you already have my information. Why do you need to get it from me?

OSU Officer: It's just a, it's a like a paper document that you need to have in person.

Logan M. Isaac: It sounds like a legal document, which places you under color of law, and if you're abusing that, I will file a lawsuit against you, officer Beaton, whatever your first name is. I don't know, but if you need my address, you can go through the proper channels. [00:03:00] I'm also alerting you and I'm recording audio because you are a public official.

OSU Officer: Yeah, that's totally fine. You have, you are willing within your rights to do that.

Logan M. Isaac: Okay. Are you sure you want to continue to obstruct my federal civil rights?

OSU Officer: So logan, the reason for me reaching out to you is that this notice is already on file. If you don't have the notice, then you can't appeal it. Whether or not you come get this physical copy of it.

Logan M. Isaac: If I don't have the notice, it has not been served on me. It has no legal standing.

OSU Officer: You've been notified. You've been notified.

Logan M. Isaac: Okay, so you are operating under color of law to attempt to obstruct my civil rights. I will under Title 42, section 1983, file in circuit small claims. For $10,000 if you continue to obstruct my civil rights. Do you understand Officer Beaton?

OSU Officer: So if you ever show up, you'll receive that.

Logan M. Isaac: Did, that's a threat

OSU Officer: ...document.

Logan M. Isaac: That's a threat.

OSU Officer: It that it's just letting.

Logan M. Isaac: A federal definition of a true threat, Title 42 section 19 83, is now in play. You are making a threat to kick me off of public grounds, [00:04:00] which is a violation of my civil rights. Do you understand Officer Beaton?

OSU Officer: I understand all the words you just said.

Logan M. Isaac: Oh good.

OSU Officer: And is you wanna come get this paper document?

Logan M. Isaac: Is American English your native tongue? I wanna make sure that we really understand one another.

OSU Officer: Yeah, I'm following everything you're saying. Okay. So do you wanna come get this paper document from me?

Logan M. Isaac: Are you going to tell me what Willie Elfering is alleging?

OSU Officer: It was alleged that you created a disruption.

Logan M. Isaac: The door was closed. How can that be a disruption? I went to leave. He told me to close the door and remain inside the room. How is that an obstruction?

OSU Officer: I've been directed to issue you this notice if you would like to come get it in person.

Logan M. Isaac: Officer Beaton, I'm directing you to stop infringing on my civil rights or I will sue you in court. If you cannot tell me that what you're doing is lawful under federal law and not an abridgement of my federal rights, I will sue you in court. Officer Beaton, how can there be an obstruction or a disturbance [00:05:00] inside a closed office?

OSU Officer: Got you at 2 8 1 8 Northwest Orchard Heights Ave, Albany, Oregon.

Logan M. Isaac: Are you not gonna answer the question?

OSU Officer: Is that an up-to-date address for you? Just make sure I have it correct on file.

Logan M. Isaac: My address is something that you can serve me at if you want, but that will be a direct and unequivocal violation of my First Amendment rights and I'll file a lawsuit under the KKK Enforcement Act. You don't have to be a member of the kkk. But if you continue to operate in violation of federal law, I will sue you in court for $10,000.

OSU Officer: Logan, it seems to me that you're not wanting to come and get this notice, which is fine.

Logan M. Isaac: I'm under no obligation to do any such thing.

OSU Officer: When you receive this. Yeah, so the next time you come onto campus, so I'm just gonna contact you, you're gonna receive a copy of this notice.

Logan M. Isaac: If you threaten me again.

OSU Officer: Accept your copy.

Logan M. Isaac: I'll also take you to state court.

OSU Officer: You don't accept your copy. That's totally fine. It's an optional copy for you to have. If you wish to appeal those instructions, how to appeal it on the back. If you do not wish to accept your copy, that's totally fine.

Logan M. Isaac: You have not sent me a copy.

OSU Officer: But you've been advised, [00:06:00] so now you know that this is on file.

If you had appeared in person, I would've read you this notice. Explain the boundaries of campus. Explain that you cannot come onto any OSU grounds of campus.

Logan M. Isaac: Oregon State University is a public ground.

OSU Officer: Do you have any other questions for me regarding this process?

Logan M. Isaac: No. I just wanna make sure you understand that you are an active violation of my federal rights. Do you wanna give me your first name? Okay this will be fun.
