NYTimes military reporter gaslights veterans
“If there was a different person in this job they might pick different stories.” - David Philipps, NY Times.

Hello, this is Dave.
Hi, my name is Logan Isaac. I have information that could sway the election, as well as the evidence that it's being suppressed by the Democrats. Are you still at the New York Times?
Suppressed by the who?
Democratic Party. Locally, at least.
When you say locally, what do you mean?
I'm in Oregon.
I do work for the New York Times.
You're military, right?
What's that?
You cover the military.
Yes.
As Attorney General Kamala Harris ignored civil rights for military when they were supposed to be added as a protected class. And when she elected, or when she nominated a veteran she had a staffer on her team at the Office of the Vice President that should have known that.
Military families are being targeted without any enforcement. There's currently congressional inquiry from Oregon, Ron Wyden, that is not being acted on even though she's in the executive branch. So this has everything to do with the military.
Listen. If you wanna write all this down, your concerns and you want to email 'em to me, I can take a look, but chances are very good that it'll be stuff that I can't act on. Of course, I won't make up that mind while I look at it, but just be as specific as you can. Give me as much detailed stuff as you can. And if you'd like to write to me about that, I'm happy to give you my email.
I have your email. I've got a blog post, we've spoken in the past, but you haven't picked up stories that seem relevant to the military. That's why I'm calling.
I have a job different. If there was a different person in this job they might pick different stories. I gotta tell you, I work very hard to try and do the stories that I think have the most impact on military people's lives and try to help them out.
You don't need to defend yourself. I'm trying to get information to 23 million voters that are directly influenced by this.
And here I am saying, I would like to see the information, so please, share it with me. I can't guarantee that I will act on it, but I certainly will take it all into consideration.
Okay.
Alright.

Forgot one...
As president pro tempore of the Senate, VP Harris has a responsibility within the executive branch to make sure the DoJ acts on this from one of the highest ranking Dems in the upper chamber. it went out weeks ago and DOJ wont confirm it was received. Oregon is not a swing state, so I don't get my voice heard directly from her campaign.
Emails
To David Philipps (20241026)
I looked up the NYTimes Code of Conduct, which prohibits discrimination and bullying, for which your accusation of mental illness may qualify;
Your gaslighting me felt familiar, and it is only the latest in a line of snubs from you that show you've never seen me as competent and reliable, even as you centered other veterans who've gone on to admit to lying in public statements.
I went back thru our correspondence and it's telling. Turns out, I've sent you tips about most of the stuff I've been uncovering since 2018, none of which you found worth reporting on;
That's troubling because you get to decide what constitutes "help" for a community you're not a member of, all while feeling high and mighty about the great service you think you're doing for them;
If the New York Times wants to be fair and impartial, someone needs to explain to me why you selectively apply journalistic ethics and standards. If you can put your (completely biased) feelings about me aside, you might have a scoop or two.
To New York Times Chief Legal Officer, Managing Editors, and Mental Health Reporter (20241026)
I am writing to inform you that Dave Philipps, who reports on my community, has gaslighted me and used a stereotype to try to discredit me and ignore civil rights he has been refusing to report on for the past 6 years.
How can I file a formal complaint, and to whom may I address news tips that will not be discounted with false accusations that belittle veterans as mentally ill? If he did it to me, I want to make sure he hasn't done the same to other veterans.
