📧 “Question” from Hall

This email was sent the same week my second ThD application was being considered, the same program for which Dr. Amy Laura Hall served as inaugural director.

@0627 from Hall

Would you feel comfortable telling me who told you I said something at or after that panel that betrayed your trust?  Because I really did not, and now I am looking sideways at at least one student here, wondering if he is untruthful. I know you were really against the panel itself.  But it sounded as if you thought I said something very particularly about you. If you do not want to tell me, I will understand.  I loved your cute Christmas card.  I so hope you two are very happy.

@0734 to Hall

My memory is that you proposed that I not communicate with you until I was not angry. That is not yet the case and therefore my impression is that I should not respond at this time.
