I really do not know what to think of this proposal or the author. He claims to have been somehow been involved with the Z titles JESUS FOR PRESIDENT and JESUS, BOMBS, AND ICE CREAM but the name Logan Isaac is not associated with those books so far as I can tell. The key author on those titles was Shane Claiborne—an author I have not personally worked with but whom I know. Shane is a pacifist and an advocate of the “simple life.” He literally clothes himself in sack cloth—as in brownish gunny sack material. Was Logan a ghost writer Shane or Shane’s co-authors? Was Logan earlier or is he now writing under a pseudonym?

Whatever—it is a curious situation.

So far as the proposal itself, I did not find it engaging, though I admire his goal. I do not think it would fit with the Zondervan Reflective imprint that I lead and I do not think it is the kind of book my editors are looking for.

You might want to try sending it to the new Publisher for the Zondervan Books imprint—a basic Christian trade book imprint—Webb Younce ([redacted]). But first you need to find out from Logan just that his alleged relationship to the two Zondervan titles really was.
