📧 “the Bible and soldiers” (cont’d)

I just realized I have just kept the circle going, of whether I want to stick with the blog piece or explore it further for article ideas.

I would like to have something referencing my #12saints12days blog series so a wider audience than my own organic one has some resources for thinking about military families near Veterans Day. But I'm happy to write a shorter, more succinct blog introducing the series for the CC blog, that should not take long if you want to try to get something online this week (Thursday is veterans day)

More importantly, if I am being frank, is the deeper issue of toxic pacifism and how it distorts Biblical interpretation and produces harmful stereotypes that demean Christians who are or were in the military. That is a very large ball of wax, one which I have already committed my life to, as that is the size and scope of the problem. If CC is interested in exploring something like that, it may be a phone call to map out a longer investigative-type article or a series of them, both are ideas I am very happy to entertain. It could be something a little more like my Ponder Christian Soldiers series with CT (which won the best articles series EPA award for 2016).

Let me know what you think. I'm happy to chat on the phone if that is easier or consumes less time for you.
