20220511 📧 “Looking for NT scholar feedback”

Hey Esau, I’ve been researching soldiers in the NT as a follow-up to my recent book, God is a Grunt. In particular, I’m finding a lot of interesting stuff in Luke and I was wondering if you might have any time to read and reflect on the stuff I’m trying to work thru. It might interest you as a military family as well as a Wheaton colleague of George Kalantzis, who has written on this stuff.

If you have time and energy to check them out, I'm drafting them in Google Docs;

  1. Luke 23 (We) know not what we do.

  2. Luke 3 Sycophants, or Rakes?

  3. 2 Kings 5, Luke 7 A Tale of Two Soldiers

Thanks for considering this, any insight would be appreciated!

I will try to get to this. I’m sorry I have a lot of projects I’m juggling.

No worries, I'll take any feedback I can get. I'd reach out to Tom Wright, but he doesn't seem as connected to former MLitts. If you know of a Luke-Acts scholar who I should reach out to, that would also be a huge help. The connections I make seem novel so I'd like to have critical feedback before I pat myself on the back... :-)
