The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires us to provide accurate information

Dear Logan Isaac:

We are responding to your complaint about your Small Business Administration (SBA) loan account ending in 4001 and your credit card account ending in 2107. Thank you for sharing your concerns.

We have reviewed your request to close your accounts. Both the SBA loan ending 4001 and the credit card ending in 2107 are closed and reporting as charged off.

We cannot forgive the outstanding balance of the SBA loan. Because this account has already been repurchased by the SBA, we are no longer the servicer for the debt. Consequently, you must contact the SBA directly to establish a resolution or make payment arrangements for the balance owed. We do not furnish reporting for these accounts to the personal credit bureaus.

To inquire about any debt deletion options for your credit card account ending in 2107, you will need to speak with our Specialty Solutions Group at 1-888-339-8391. Their hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to Midnight Eastern Time (ET) Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET on Sunday.

The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires us to provide accurate information about your account activity and status to the credit reporting agencies. Unfortunately, we are not able to make changes to your credit report as a courtesy and we will only update reporting if what we are furnishing is inaccurate.

You can send us a copy of your credit report that contains the inquiries you disagree with, and highlight the following information:

  • Your name

  • Mailing address

  • Social Security number

  • Date of the inquiry

If you would like to explain past due payments, you can contact the credit reporting agencies who can record your explanation and share it with creditors. You can contact the credit reporting agencies at:

  • Equifax

  • Experian

  • Innovis

  • TransUnion

We appreciate you taking the time to tell us about our service. Your feedback helps us serve you better. We aim to provide you with exceptional service, and we are sorry if we did not meet this goal.

We deny your allegations and we cannot comply with your demands.

If you have questions, please call us at 1-877-805-8049 and reference case number ECW250627-07428-R2. We accept operator relay calls. We’re here Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Time.

Sincerely,
