Shane and I talked today following his time with you.

We remain convinced of the critical importance of your message and we are aware that few people if any are speaking to the injustices surrounding American combat veterans.  Because of the importance of the message and its critical urgency today, we remain committed to amplifying your message and promoting you as an important messenger of Jesus and justice.

I know that it is late in the process but if you are able to come to Dallas we will happily give you a workshop. If you can, we’d also like to find someone in Dallas who can capture your workshop on video for you and RLC to use to get your message out. We are limited in resources for the revival but we are also willing to help with some of the costs related to your visit. We can discuss this in detail if you want to participate.

Regarding the December RLC Gathering, we are not able to invite you to participate this year. We need to have others willing to second Shane’s nomination of you before we can invite you to join the gathering and we don’t have those seconds. While many of us agree about the importance of your message, some of us who have worked with you find your expectations overbearing and too demanding of folks. RLC is more than a professional speakers bureau, above all we are working to create a community of trusted Jesus and justice servants committed to one another in trusting relationship. We want to build that kind of relationship with you but we have to admit that we have not done so yet. I can say that we have invested as much time and effort in you as in anyone in our network and yet the outcome seems to have left you more frustrated and disappointed. We need to work through that. We’re willing to work at it if your are.

I’m willing to discuss this with you over the phone. If you like to do so please let me know as well as if you’d like to join us in Dallas.

Thanks Don. Let me know how you want to amplify my message or promote me, I'm happy to go anywhere I am wanted and welcome. It's too bad to hear that RLC has put peoples' feelings of fragility above what you have called the "critical urgency" of my work.
