📧 “Quick note regarding Logan Isaac” Claiborne to Gundry

Stan — Hello my brother.  It has been a very long time since we have chatted, and I hope you are well.  Please send my love to all there at Harper/Zondervan.  I trust you are holding up in these turbulent times.

I just wanted to drop you a quick email, as per the request of Logan Isaac, who I believe you have been in touch with, confirming his participation in “Jesus, Bombs, and Ice Cream.”  We listed the event as “Shane Claiborne, Ben Cohen and friends” — and Logan is among the cast of about 10 folks who contributed to the 90 minute event back in 2011.  His testimony as a veteran was a powerful contribution, especially alongside Terry Rockefeller who is one of the 9/11 victims' family members (with Families for Peaceful Tomorrows).  As you may have seen in the credits and bios in the original book/dvd set, Logan is listed as Logan Mehl-Laituri — and, along with Logan and Ms. Rockefeller, we had a spoken word piece by Mike Rosario, art by Scott Erickson, music by John Francis, music by Psalters, juggling by Josh Horton, metal craft by Josh Seitzer… it was a power-packed event that continues to give life to many.  And we are grateful that Logan was part of that original cast.  As you may also know, I’ve written a foreword and blurbs for Logan's books and have supported his work over the years.  Logan’s books and videos are no longer available on our websites because of his own requests/demands, though I continue to believe in his message and work.  I’m glad to talk with you more if you’d like, about this, or anything else.

Stan, I’m grateful for all that you have done to support redemptive, Kingdom-based work over the years.  Know that I am thankful for you and for your friendship and support.  My cell number is [redacted].  -Shane Claiborne
