π§ from HillVets
[to Justin Brown] Did you get this? Let me know if you have any insight.
@ 1053
I have been on vacay with the fam. Can you be more specific? How are the reports faulty?
@ 1139
Faulty in that the reports are not giving Congress the information required by the law. The effect is that the full scope of employment discrimination complaints by veterans is unknown and therefor unaddressed. I wrote about it here - [https://gijustice.com/blog/vevraa-complaints-2]
What I'm really trying to find out is whether the Ed & Labor committee has any power and/or responsibility to keep DoL in check for sending HVAC & SVAC these problematic reports.

Hmm,
Yeah I read your article. Government entities not doing what they are supposed to is kind of status normal unfortunately.
Also your bottom-line is buried. Always go with the BLUF.
What people on the hill care about is outcomes. In this case your argument is that last paragraph:
"The only agency tasked with tracking and sharing data regarding the extent of harassment, bias, and discrimination against veterans in employment is not adequately tracking or sharing it."
Try Chris Bennett with the House Veterans Affairs Committee,
He has been active with HillVets and is a vet himself:
