Isaac v. Hanes

On March 5, 2025, I filed suit against Brett Hanes, an Army veteran and Oregon Legislative Administrator. After filing against Reneé Perry in Linn County, I realized my address is technically within Benton County, that is why the venue is different. Here is the complaint, followed by a transcript.

On February 21, 2025, Brett Hanes “wrote, under color of Oregon’s Revised Statutes, that I was "‘prohibted from visiting the Oregon State Capitol.’ The communication included Legislative letterhead but cited no crime or other credible disturbance of hte peace. By doing so, he has deprived me of my Constitutional rights to speech, assembly, and redress while threatening me with criminal charges if I exercise my rights.”
